The Hamilton District Society of Chefs and Cooks     
HDSCC Mandate

The H.D.S.C.C. is comprised of chefs, cooks and apprentices with a common interest in promoting culinary professionalism and camaraderie and to enhance public awareness of our profession.
We also gather to share ideas, experiences and
participate in special functions, and fundraisers.
We are a branch of the Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks (C.C.F.C.C.) which is a member of the World Association of Cooks (W.A.C.S).

We meet on the last Monday of each month from September to June at different locations in the greater Hamilton area.
Meetings are a lively mix of socializing,
professional development and networking.

Membership

HDSCC members $75.00
CCFCC members $150.00*
Associate members $150.00
Junior Members $30.00**

*CFCC Membership fee for the first year is $182.00. Every year after that is $150.00.

**Junior fees include HDSCC and CCFCC membership, up until the point you write your provincial exam.

All members receive:

  • A club certificate.
  • Access to special events organized by the H.D.S.C.C.
  • Participation in CCFCC events
  • ASSOCIATE membership includes   Business-card like advertisement in Chef's Connections yearly.

ACTIVE (voting) MEMBERS:
Chefs, Journeymen cooks with Certificate of Qualification
(C. of Q.) or W.A.C.S. or equivalent.

JUNIOR (non-voting) MEMBERS
Apprentices, (non-certified) Chefs & Cooks.

Associate(non-voting) MEMBERS
Persons who have a professional relation to the cooking trade.


Each executive member is a professional chef and required to be a member of the
Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks and involved in other trade related associations and committees as well.
