Welcome to Newfoundland! The best Gluten free grocery stores are the Dominions in Mount Pearl and Stavanger Drive. They have the biggest selection of gluten free products I have seen.

Eating out is safe at Zapatta's Mexican restaurant. Let them know in advance and they will cook the nachos in a clean fryer. They do have to modify the dishes slightly to be gluten free but the food is great! For fine dining Magnum and Stein's, Bianca's and Cabot Club have excellent food and their chefs are well acquainted with the gluten free diet. Marc Saunders |

Taj Mahal, 203 Water Street. Essentially everything except the Naan and fish curry is made gluten free. Usually, I avoid the poppdums and somosas for cross contamination issues. They are well aware of the allergy and will be able to accomodate. Sameer Kamra 2007 |

I do all
my GF shopping at Dominion on Stavanger. Biggest GF selection I've seen yet. I also
eat at Red Pepper. They always make my food in the back and I bring my own V&H Soya

I just thought I'd put some input in GF travel. I'm still new to Celiac and have been following the diet for a little over a month. I just recently spent some time in St. John's, NF and found a store with a decent GF section. This store is Auntie Crae's and is located on 272 Water St. I also found the large, new Dominion in Mount Pearl had a large selection of GF products, more than other grocery stores I've seen.
