Q. What is Invitro Fertilization ?

A. Invitro Fertilization is a new program which use to be called artificial insemination, it is a program to help people have children using medication and very close monitoring.

Q. How long is the average waiting period ?

A.  The average waiting period can be anywhere from 1 month to 2 years depending on the province or state and the clinics.

Q. What can I expect to pay for a procedure ?

A.  Procedures can run anywhere from $3000.00 to $15,000.00 depending on the procedure as there are many different procedures and the price varies from different provinces and states.

Q. When will I know if it works for me ?

A. It is hard to say but after you take all the meds you are monitored and when the follicles are the right size then they do a retrieval then either 3 or 5 day transfer depending then you only wait 2 weeks after transfer to get your first beta (blood work) to see if any of the embryos took.
