Comments: I was delighted to discover your website, I just found out that I have Celiac
Disease at the age of 78. It was a bit devastating to think that it would be difficult for
my wife and I to travel now. Thanks to your site we find that there are many food stores
and restaurants we can use when away from home.

Comments: I've been quite busy, but wanted to commend you on your wonderful work with this
Canadian celiac site - we are so much smaller than the US that it's easy to lose sight of
our unique Canadian celiac issues, like giving blood, income tax deductions and of course
the fact that large manufacturers deliver products to us that have different ingredients
than products sold in the states even though they look the same!
Kudos!! Helen in Vancouver

say thank you for giving me a start in the seemingly impossible task of regaining a normal

work into it. Thank you.

Comments: Hi Penny, Just wanted to contact you to say how wonderful the fast
food listing is that youve put together. My 25 month-old daughter was diagnosed in
April, and we get French fries from McDonalds frequently because we know they are safe.
I'm thrilled that it appears there could be more to life than McDonalds I will for
sure check in advance of course, but what an excellent listing. Thank you so much!

My husband is from North York (Willowdale) and he has
family all over Ontario...London, Keswick, Markam, Stouffeville and Willowdale. We have
not traveled "home" since our Sept. diagnosis of celiac sprue but we are very
aware that the Canadian companies seem to be ahead of the Americans in the gluten-free
awareness...many of the better products are Canadian. Our Canadian relatives are not all
that "up to date" on the GF products that are available, however, and your Web
site should be a big help to us when we make our next trip and have to deal with recipe
substitutions and restaurants. I had already found your web site before this and even had
a bookmark for it. It's a great web site that makes like so much easier for people like
us! Thank You, Anne McKee (Norfolk, MA)

Hi, I just found your site under celiac disease, and a Canadian site is just what I am
looking for, with Canadian product info. I just found out my brothers in law have Celiac
Disease. I am married to one, and a brother in law lives with us. It is thier other
brother who was diagnosed with it, and told to have family checked for it, I am going to
set up appts for my husband and brother in law as they have many of the symptoms of the
one who has it. I really like your website, it is full of good information, I like to
cook, am interested in medical things, and would like to help these inlaws live a full and
enjoyable life gluten free. I have subscribed to your celiac canada, thank you for this
website, keep up the good work. Yours truly Beatrice Smith.

Hello, My name is Marylouise Gamache. My youngest
daughter has celiac disease. I found your Canadian Celiac web site quite accidently. IT IS
FANTASTIC!! I wish I knew about it last April! I do belong to two organizations here in
the US,( we live in Rhode ISland).ANd of course our National Group. I do
contact most of the manufacturers for information about some of the food products I
purchase. I was wondering if you had any advice. I generally ask for a list of their
products that are gluten free, I explain some of the sources of gluten , give an example (
rice soaked in barley malt maybe one) and have just started to add the national groups
email address. >Most companies that have familiarity with Celiac respond quickly others
do not. I noticed your food list had some firms I am trying to get in for from,
Breyers Ice Cream, Classico Pasta Sauce ( this is the one that led me to your site). It is
because you received information that I am contacting you. Obviously your procedure is
great.

Subject: Canadian Citizen living in Michigan. I have just been diagnosed with
celiac disease. My doctor found a celiac sprue when he did a biopsy on my small intestine.
I have only known for a few days and find it all quite overwhelming. I have been doing a
lot of search on the internet about celiac disease and was so pleased to find your
Canadian website. We go back and forth from Canada to the US every couple of weeks and it
is so nice to know that I can find support from Canada and the US.
